Further Information
Volunteers required to participate in clinical trials of new drugs and vaccines. - Healthy Females and Males.
- Aged between 18 to 85 years.
- BMI between 18 and 32.

 

- Screening medical.
- In addition some trials may require a number of clinic visit for 1 – 2 hour periods and or in-house stays at Q-Pharm clinic from 12 hours or as long as 7 days. 
 -Trial dependent.

- Aged 18 to 50 years
- Able to attend clinic for half a day to complete medical and study day 1st and 2nd March, 2012
QP11C18 Clinical trial of a treatment for movement disorders - Male or Female
- 18 to 50 years old
- BMI between 18 and 27kg/m2
- Able to attend up to 2 medical screening appointments
- 17 day stay at our clinic
Confinement commencing March, 2012
QP11C19 Clinical trial of an investigational vaccine for Influenza A - Male or Female
- 18 to 55 years old
- BMI 19 to 32kg/m2
- Able to attend a screening medical
- 2 vaccination visitis
- 6 other outpatient visits

QP11C14 Clinical trial of a treatment for malaria - Male or Female
- Female must be post-menopausal or no longer able to become pregnant
- 18 to 55 years old
- Generally healthy BMI 18 - 30
- Able to attend 1 approx 60 hour stay at our clinic
- 4 outpatient visits over the following 2 weeks
Various Cohorts running February to May, 2012
QP11C17 Clinical trial to investigate drug treatment for weight loss

- Female
- 18 - 60 years
- Post Menopausal, surgically sterilised or using a stable dose of implanted or injectable contraceptive
- BMI 30 - 45

- Able to attend 10 visits including a 2 overnight confinement period, a screening medical and a number of 4hr outpatient visits over a 5 week period Cohorts running February to March, 2012
QP11C13 Clinical trial to investigate drug treatment for malaria - Male
- 18 - 45 years
- non smoker
- Must not have a history of malaria
- Unable to donate blood to the ARCBS in the future
- Must not have travelled or lived in a malaria-endemic country during the past 12 months or planned travel to a malaria-endemic country during the course of the study.                   
- Able to attend Q-Pharm over a 4 week period including a 1 overnight stay in our clinic and a number of outpatient visits morning and afternoons. Cohorts running from January to March, 2012
QP11C10

 
Clinical trial to investigate a treatment for multiple sclerosis. - Male or female.
- Aged 18 to 45 years.
- if female, must no longer be able to become pregnant i.e. post menopausal, surgically sterile.
- BMI 18 to 29kg/m2 (min 50kg)
- Able to attend Q-Pharm over a 8-11 week period for 3 confinement stays in our clinic and several outpatient visits. Mid March, 2012

All studies at Q-Pharm are conducted under Australian and International guidelines for medical research under the approval of a Human Research Ethics Committee that complies with the strict guidelines as set by the National Health and Medical Research Council. Participation in a trial is dependent on fulfilment of trial specific criteria and overseas visitors require appropriate visas for trial participation.
